UK Mentioned in Article on NDNP Project

In an article last week in the Washington Post, UK Libraries’ participation in the National Digital Newspapers Project was mentioned. The article titled “Newspaper Archive Hits Million-Page Milestone” notes that “The University of Kentucky Libraries, for example, have processed 37 of that state's papers.” See the full article at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/06/16/AR2009061603156.html?referrer=emailarticle

Digital Programs in SCDP also created a short video at the request of LC/NEH for the 1 millionth page celebration NEH is sponsored in DC last week. The video was shown at the event in DC at the Newseum and then will be distributed to the press on DVD, We have also been asked to submit a b-roll that news outlets can run with their voice over about the program. You can access the film clip from the KY-NDNP website www.uky.edu/libraries/ndnp or directly from YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WjJLEhC4KQ
