New York calligrapher Paul Shaw, a graphic arts instructor at the Parsons School of Design, will visit the University of Kentucky to present the King Library Press Fall 2008 Seminar in Graphic Design on Nov. 14 and 15. The seminar includes a lecture and workshop with the noted calligrapher who is renowned in the world of commercial lettering arts where he works with clients like Revlon, Avon, Clairol, Lord & Taylor, Rolex, Campbell Soup and Mattel, the toy manufacturer of the Barbie doll.
Shaw's lecture on “The Books of W. A. Dwiggins” is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in the Great Hall of the Margaret I. King Building. The full press release is available at http://news.uky.edu/news/display_article.php?artid=4124
