The International Coalition of Library Consortia (ICOLC) has issued a statement about the impact of the global economic situation on libraries and database licensing in particular. The statement sends a strong message from all the major consortia in the world that it cannot be business as usual in the months ahead as we renew and/or cancel subscriptions and database agreements.
