Interesting Facts from the 4th Quarter Division Reports

The division quarterly reports for the Fourth Quarter (April through June 2008) are now available in SharePoint under Office of the Dean, Quarterly Reports. Just to pique your interest, here are few interesting facts from the reports:
  • Access & Delivery – completed the first run through of a full inventory of the King Storage 1st floor monographs collection resulting in finding a quantity of books that had been previously designated as “lost”
  • Collections and Technical Services – even as we transition to electronic journals, the CTS Serials Department checked in 20,239 print issues and claimed 1,001 volumes in FY08
  • IT – interesting annual statistics

1,185,587 searches conducted in Voyager in FY08
201,323 unique off-campus sessions initiated to licensed library resources
101,744 e-reserve documents were requested and delivered to users

  • Research & Education – began working with TASC to film a short, fun promotional video about the Hub to be aired on UK TV as well as displayed in the Hub, on YouTube, etc.
  • SCDP – digitized volumes of the UK yearbook, Kentuckian, from 1894, 1904, 1906-1910 and 1915-1955
  • SCDP – 14,574 site visitors to the Kentuckiana Digital Library this quarter
