Talking to faculty about questionable assignments
Ellie Collier writes: “Every semester there is at least one student assignment that comes across my reference desk that makes me throw my hands up in exasperation. What do you do after that student walks in with an assignment in hand that you know just isn’t fair to them? Until a few months ago, I never even considered the possibility of talking to faculty about their assignments. I remember both the assignment that opened my eyes to that possibility and the one that was my personal tipping point.”...In the Library with the Lead Pipe, Mar. 18
